Application for Merit Scholarships.


Students interested in being considered for the Ingram, Cornelius Vanderbilt and/or Chancellor's Scholarship Program must submit the Student Information Form and the additional application form for the particular program(s) to which you are applying. Students interested in being considered for the Additional Merit Scholarships should submit the Student Information Form and the Cornelius Vanderbilt Scholarship application.
Applications for the Ingram Scholarship Program must be postmarked or submitted electronically by December 1, 2013 for prospective freshmen students and March 1, 2014, for currently enrolled first and second year students. All other scholarship applications must be postmarked by December 15, 2013.

To submit the Vanderbilt Scholarship 

OPTION 1

  • Complete the Scholarship Application form online.
  • If you are applying for the Chancellor's Scholarship, download and submit the Chancellor's Scholarship Letter of Reference PDF.
  • For Ingram Scholarship Program Letters of Reference: please arrange for two references to provide letters of recommendation in support of your application for the Ingram Scholarship Program. You may select anyone from your community who you believe can best address your strength of personal character and your commitment to volunteer service.
Register as an applicant at: www.vanderbilt.edu/ingram/references . You will then be asked to supply the names and e-mail addresses of your two references. Should you seek a reference from someone without e-mail access, please have him or her send their letter of reference to the address below.

OPTION 2

  • Download the Scholarship Application form in PDF format.
    (Requires Adobe Acrobat; download a free copy from Adobe's Website)
  • Note: If you are unable to download a copy of the application, you may request a paper application be sent to you vial mail by calling the Office of Student Financial Aid and Undergraduate Scholarships at (615) 322-3591 or (800) 288-0204. 
  • The easiest thing to do is to paste the text of the application into your own document program (Word, WordPerfect, etc.) and then type your information and essays directly on the application. Then print the entire document out as you wish. (Note: different printers and browsers format documents differently, so it is best to use your own computer to format the document so that each page prints out where a page-break should be.)
  • Please print, complete in black ink, and fax or mail to:
