President Goodluck Jonathan, will on May 10th commission the Nigerian Maritime University in delta state.
The spokesman for the Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety
Agency(NIMASA) made this known in a statement and also said that the
president would also perform the ground-breaking ceremonies of the
university’s permanent site and NIMASA Dockyard and Shipyard both at
Okerenkoko.
According to the statement, the University will provide the human
capacity required for the maritime sector in addition to serving as a
research and knowledge centre
The University is expected to commence academic activities at the temporary site in Kurutie in September.
